Meet Courtney & Heitor!
They are getting married in June for a beautiful summer Newport wedding and I could not be more thrilled to be a part of their big day. When they asked me for dates in February for their engagement session, I was a little hesitant. February can either be beautiful with white fluffy snow or just downright ugly with browns and greys galore. The first date we settled on turned out to be grey and rainy, so I took a quick glimpse at the extended forecast and say blue skies and warm temps for Sunday - jackpot! We met at Prescott Farm in Middletown for the more casual part of the session. This location is one of my all time favorites - lots of variety, a cool windmill, and a unique rustic charm that you can't get in the city by the sea.
I got to know Courtney and Heitor a lot at Prescott Farm and they have a really cute story. They met about 5 years ago on an online dating site, and after a few dates in Newport, they were official! After a year or so of dating, Courtney moved to Heitor's town of New Bedford where he has been restoring his house for 6 years! This couple is super talented and extremely generous of their time. Courtney works outside of Boston as a Project Manager and has been involved in the Special Olympics and youth sports teams as a volunteer. Heitor designs and hand stitches custom leather bags, and has been very busy over the last 6 years rebuilding and restoring his "fixer upper" in New Bedford. They are one hardworking, humble & genuine couple!
How cute were these two at Prescott Farm??
About an hour before sunset we left Prescott Farm and made our way into Newport for what turned out to be a beautiful sunset on the water at Bannister's Wharf. Wow, not many February evenings look like this and we were all so grateful for the warmth and golden hour of light!
Congratulations to Courtney & Heitor! Can't wait for June 16, 2017!!
