Lucinda and Chris met in Boston while working downtown at the Macy's store. Lucinda was hesitant in pursuing a relationship at work, but Chris's persistence finally paid off! After a few years of dating and a romantic proposal along the Merrimack River, Lucinda and Chris started planning their dream wedding at Four Oaks Country Club. I had the honor and privilege of photographing their wedding (as well as their Beacon Hill Engagement Session) this past June and every detail was to perfection.
I got to know Lucinda and Chris throughout the year and came to realize that these two complemented each other so well. Chris is quiet, but has a sarcastic side, and is a huge sports fan. Lucinda is bubbly and personable to a T. She is also an incredibly talented and passionate seamstress. Her Blog Sew Wrong (and contributor to Broke Ass Bride) showcases her latest work and beautiful pieces she's made for her wardrobe. Not only that, but Lucinda MADE her very own wedding gown. As you can imagine, I was blown away when I showed up at the bridal suite to photograph she and her bridesmaids.
Lucinda and Chris decided to do a "First Look" before their wedding ceremony so that they could enjoy their entire cocktail hour instead of taking pictures. We found a shady (it was SUPER hot and humid for early June!) spot under the Country Club's red barn and snagged some great shots as Lucinda & Chris saw each other for the first time. I think Chris was blown away by Lucinda, especially the gown she had worked so hard on!
After a beautiful outdoor ceremony overlooking the golf course at Four Oaks Country Club, Lucinda, Chris and I grabbed a golf cart and took a spin on the greens for some bridal portraits. Between the light and Lucinda's infectious smile, these photos are some of my favorite from this couple's sweet day. Not to mention the fact that they both looked extremely happy! It's like they got married or something:)
Not only did Lucinda MAKE her own wedding gown, but she also made a lot of the details, such as this cute turquoise photo booth! She used Etsy as well and scoured Pinterest (like every bride these days!) looking for the perfect personal touches for their wedding reception. I LOVED those giant balloons too - they were stunning with the sun dipping behind the trees on the golf course. Congratulations Lucinda and Chris! Wishing you a lifetime of joy and happiness together as you embark on this new adventure!
