It's hard to believe that Thanksgiving and Christmas are upon us and fall is quick to become a thing of the past. As we embark on this week of Thanksgiving, I am giving thanks for all my 2015 clients - brides, families and little ones around Rhode Island and New England.
This week I'd like to highlight my Rhode Island Fall Minis that happened earlier this month at Fort Adams in Newport, RI. We caught that window of fall where the leaves have begun to fall, but still hold that crisp red, orange and yellow hues. I had 4 wonderful families partake in these fall mini sessions and they could not have been cuter. These 30 minute sessions are the perfect session for young families with small children who have a short window for smiling and being corralled into photos. We did a lot of laughing, getting grass stains on our tights, preventing kiddos from falling in the water, and playing in the warm weather. It was the perfect Sunday afternoon to capture these families and their love for each other.
The O'Brien Family welcomed their little boy in October and I was so excited to capture him as a newborn at Fort Adams. His big sister has certainly stepped up to the challenge and loves her little brother. It was truly the sweetest moment watching "L" kiss "W" - these moments are gone in an instant it seems, so now was the time to capture this precious time in life. I was fortunate enough to capture the O'Brien's wedding back in February 2014 and it has been so fun to watch their sweet family grow.
The Richardson family joined me at Fort Adams for their mini session decked out in rain boots and pops of pink. I was absolutely loving their coordination and willingness to run around the fort with me. These kiddos are just the cutest - both inside and out! The last time I saw "W" he had the wildest hair and was just a little guy. Now he can't wait to catch up to his big sister who is headed to kindergarten next year! This sailing family are the kindest, most thoughtful, and FUN family and I loved capturing those big, genuine smiles.
Fort Adams in Newport is truly one of my favorite spots to photograph. The openness and various backdrops make for a fun and interesting place to capture families, couples and kiddos. This time of year with the boats up on the dock, its the perfect backdrop for those sailor families in Rhode Island.
